Mobogenie Market is a powerful app storefront and an alternative to Google Play.
Like Google Play, Mobogenie Market is a platform for managing your current apps as well as shopping for and downloading new ones. Perhaps you don’t like Play for some reason, and in which case, an app like these one may take an approach more suited to what you’re looking for.
One of the features that this app does particularly well is its recommendation engine. It has daily picks, which are hand-selected by the editors as well as a form of marketing at times. It also offers trending apps ranging from new apps to those trending today and over longer periods. The service also provides recommendations to you based on the apps you claim, continue to have in your library and, perhaps most importantly, continue to have active on your device.
The app also provides all of the tools needed to manage the apps in your library. Manage them on a single device or across numerous devices. You can also organize items like wallpapers and favorite YouTube videos, and the app also informs you of available updates via the Download Manager.
Perhaps the biggest downside to Mobogenie Market is that it isn’t actually an app repository. Everything listed via the app or webpage is actually pointing to something on Google Play. When you choose to download an app or other item, you’ll be redirected to the official Google store to finish that process. This adds an extra step or two, which can be a hassle when you need to download multiple apps, but in the long-term, it’s probably an inconvenience you can overlook if you prefer the overall approach.
